2.5? First half had me invested. Idk what the rest of that mess was tho
Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward is one of those books that I think I liked the idea of more than I liked the final product. The narration by Christopher Ragland and Katherine Fenton was great, but I wish I could follow the story itself a little more without feeling like I have no clue what's going on. That said that also somewhat helps the story keep up the sense of horror and the mystery element as well.

I absolutely loved this book. The atmosphere is incredible and the use of unreliable narrators truly fantastic.
The Innsmouthy vibe being a bait and switch and the Harlows not being supernatural at all was actually presently surprising and an effecting red herring at driving me away from the real magic in the book
Strong recommendation.

This was a complex book and after finishing it, I still don't know what was "real" or not.
Maybe I am just not a Catriona Ward fan because I have ended up DNF’ing every book of hers I have started.
