Great, light, easy, holiday book.  Has both tropical and snowy getaway locations.  Very sweet.

This was a light and fluffy romance that was very sweet. I would equate this book to a palate cleanser if you will. Getting to know the two best friends Holly and Ivy was a lot of fun. They are very sweet and their bond was fabulous. Getting this story in dual storylines was alright, not my favorite, but I didn’t hate it. Ivy heads to Hawaii for Holly’s honeymoon, and Holly retreats to Ivy’s remote art retreat. I think the book was more about a focus on friendship and the lengths we would go for those friendships. Sure there is romance, it’s a romance novel ha, but the friendship story shines free. The holiday spirit also shines through, and I definitely felt some holiday vibes without being overly holiday-ish.

If you want a holiday read, but don’t want it to be aggressively holiday, and would like friendship to be the main focus, then you need to check this one out.

Thank you to @randomhouse and @netgalley for this e-arc all thoughts are my own.

3 stars. I really enjoyed this for the most part. I was very light hearted and cute, a perfect holiday read. I loved the chemistry between Aidan and Holly and Ivy and Oliver. I was rooted for them the entire time. The writing itself was very simple and easy to read, though sometimes I wished for a little more description. I also loved the friendship between Holly and Ivy, they made everything work for each other and they were there for each other no matter what (also Ivy’s reaction to Matt? haha) However, I wish that the author made it a little more deep, at times it felt like she was skimming the surface, especially with their characters and their backgrounds. I wanted to know more about certain comments that the characters dropped about their backstory. Also, at times it did feel very predictable, I knew everything that was going to happen before it did and it felt a little too picture perfect. Sometimes though, I think that’s just what you need for a cute holiday romance, a good palette cleanser honestly.

The premise was very interesting, a story of two best friends who switch holidays and each meet a guy. However, the story being split between the two girls kind of kept everything surface level. Also not a fan of then insta-love (especially with Holly, whi was supposed to get married a week ago...). It was cute, but I needed more.

I was so fooled by the cover and synopsis. I had such high expectations, and maybe that's the problem. I hated this book. Not because of the characters, but the way it was written, structured, and the gross insta love with Holly and Aiden. I love the relationship between Holly and Ivy. Honestly, their friendship is the reason I even finished the story and rated this 2 stars. Everything else was awful. The relationship between the girls and the two guys was surface level at best. Because of the way the book was split, there wasn't time to develop the girls with the guys. I just got so irritated. Of course I didn't buy Holly being in love with Aiden so quickly. It felt disingenuous to her character and her own feelings and statements. Overall, not what I wanted.
