It is really difficult for me to get into thrillers but this hooked me from the beginning. Likely because the action starts right off the bat and there really is no lead up to the story.
I did find it really wordy/descriptive at times - that felt like a bit of a filler for the story. But overall the plot was so engaging that I didn't really mind.
My little crime junkie mind was loving Liv's inner dialogue throughout (although I agree with another reviewer that said "a true crime junkie wouldn't travel 1.5 hours into the night for a party with their phone at 15%")

This was soooo good, and very intense.. part of me forgot what I was reading only took span over a night
I wanted to love this book, I really did. It was fast paced and it definitely hooked me and I was engaged with the story. I was kept on the edge of my seat for the majority of the read and most chapters ended in cliffhangers which kept me reading because I’m too curious.

I personally enjoyed the authors descriptive writing. Shes the type of author who brings a ton of the senses to life with her writing. Although, I just felt like this book dragged on a lot more than it should have. It didn’t get as interesting until the two characters were at the ‘cabin’ and you find out who the masked kidnappers were.
I still enjoyed the backstory , the scenes after finally being in the cabin part, and again the authors descriptive writing.
I plan on reading more of her books, I just wouldn’t say I loved this one.
