I literally could not put this book down. I have such a long TBR but when I saw the description of this book in a Facebook group, I was in.
I feel like I am in the minority after looking at the Goodreads reviews but I loved it! A quick thriller that had me on the edge of my seat, panicking and actually a bit jumpy.
It was like watching a horror movie, I was yelling at my kindle- I had caught on long before anyone else had in the book so I was getting annoyed that they weren’t making the right choices.
Pick it up! It’s good.

Action galore from the beginning to the end. First person view of a chic being chased by sadist psychos. I'm not a huge action fan, and was surprised I found this in a psych thriller group. I'm glad the end made sense and the plot had a purpose. I know it's not YA but I got a YA feel from it. It's a fine book and there's nothing wrong with it. Just not my typical read. Still, I don't regret reading it
Starting this book was like picking up a book you were already 40% through. I liked that the book was quick to action, but I feel like the lack of character development made the whole thing feel very shallow. I also wasn’t buying into the whole motive behind everything that happened to the two girls. It was entertaining, but it felt like the “fast-fashion” version of a thriller novel.

This was a fairly decent read! It did follow that standard suspense plot line, but it had a few twists and turns that I enjoyed. I definitely didn't expect the motivations of certain acts, so that was interesting. I know some might find certain aspects a little unbelievable, but I think considering the circumstances and the fact that it's set in 2006, it kinda makes sense. The suspense kept me hooked and was definitely used in a way to keep you wanting to read more. There were a few things that I think definitely played out a little too well, almost like a perfect storm, but overall, I enjoyed it!

While the book had certain elements that were unoriginal, it maintains a fast pace which was able to keep me engaged and made it an easy read. The characters were not likable; the girls' relationship was nice, but the boys were sickening. One of the female characters is said to be a hypervigilant true crime junkie, except both girls leave the house for a secluded party in the freezing cold hills with almost-dead cell phones, impractical tops and shoes, no self-defense tools, just absolutely nothing in the case of an emergency. Though the ending may have been somewhat predictable (something bad was happening to Tish at the hands of Tony and Tony shooting Kyle then turning on the girls to save his own ass), it was still satisfying and tied up all the loose ends nicely.
