I enjoy Melanie Moreland’s books in general but I’m loving her venture into the morally grey kind of hero, first with her Men of the Falls duet and now with The Irishmen duet with Finn O’Reilly, leader of the syndicate. An all alpha, uber protective crime boss whose heart beats only for Una Murphy, the girl he’s loved since he met her when she was only eighteen. Now she’s twenty-eight to his thirty-eight you’d think there were no obstacles in their path but after losing her father and nearly seeing Finn killed in front of her, Una dreams of a life far away from the violence that’s always been part of her life.

The chemistry between Finn and Una sizzled even as Finn appeared to lust after her from afar and casting longing glances. He seemed to believe she’d eventually see the light and agree to date him again but fear of losing him held her back. There were also family pressures with her brother believing Finn owed him, so Una was torn between loyalty to him and her love for Finn. With drama and suspense provided by an unknown threat trying to take over Finn’s territory before they shifted their attentions to Una. If you like your books with a morally grey, possessive hero and a strong, feisty heroine. Where the story is fast paced and comes with a healthy dose of romantic suspense that lets the hero prove his love in no uncertain terms then Finn is a book, you’re sure to love.

This was the first audiobook I’ve listened to from this author and John Lane and Maxine Mitchell provided dual narration for Finn. While Maxine was familiar to me and once again produced an impressive performance as the emotional Una, torn between her love for Finn and her brother and also her fear of losing Finn to his dangerous lifestyle, John was someone I haven’t listened to before and, if I’m being honest, something about his Irish accent just didn’t sound right. I know I’m not an expert but because of it I didn’t feel I got caught up in the story when listening like I normally do.

Forbidden temptation, secrets and second chances are all part of Finn and Una’s journey to their happiness.⁣

Finn and Una have their share of baggage and are no strangers to tough times, but their passion for each other makes them so powerful and beautiful together.⁣

As always, John Lane and Maxine Mitchell were fabulous in giving life to Melanie Moreland’s world and characters.⁣

I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.⁣

Take a chance if you enjoy…⁣

I love morally grey heroes and Finn O'Reilly definitely ticks that box.

Una Murphy is his kryptonite and his saviour.

Their story is one of family, loyalty, love and betrayal.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this gorgeous Irish couple both in Toronto and Ireland.

As Finn is the first title in Melanie Moreland's latest duet, it makes me soooo excited for Niall, yet to come.

Finn O’Reilly is powerful, dangerous, and completely devoted to the one woman who walked away. Una Murphy was his once, and he has never stopped loving her. When her safety is threatened, Finn steps back into her life with a clear goal. Protect her. Win her back.

Their story is intense and emotional, filled with loyalty, betrayal, and the kind of chemistry that simmers beneath every interaction. Una brings strength and vulnerability, while Finn balances ruthless control with unwavering devotion.

The audiobook narration is outstanding. John Lane’s Irish accent gives Finn even more presence, and Maxine Mitchell captures every nuance of Una’s journey. Together, they make the story come alive with real emotion and depth.

A gripping start to The Irishman duet that blends romance, danger, and passion in all the best ways.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

“𝕄𝕠 𝕔𝕙𝕣𝕠í, 𝕊𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕞𝕖.”

A morally grey Irish mafia cinnamon roll was something I didn’t realized I needed. This man will have you hooked from the beginning and never let you go.

Finn is the one of the heads of the syndicate his focus is more on his hotel business mainly his employee/ ex girlfriend Una. Una’s goal has always been to open an hotel she currently works for Finn as a singer and front desk. They very much still have that love between them and they didn’t end for anything other than Una does not want to be apart of that lifestyle. The biggest thorn in their side is her brother but he is also the reason they find their way to each other.

This is sweet, spicy and suspenseful that end had me nervous. I enjoyed these two and cannot wait for Niall’s book I know he will sweep us off our feet the same as Finn did.

This is a phenomenal story. I savored and devoured every bit of it. My favorite morally gray character. Finn is everything and more than I could have expected or imagined.  The details didn't lack in this. In fact they enhanced the story, creating a vivid picture as if they were playing out right in front of you. The characters are well developed too. The plot on point and the writing was flawless. This is a lovely read from beginning to end. I highly recommend reading this amazing book.

I loved Finn and Una's heartachingly beautiful romance. Sweetness and spice, drama and thrills, humor and heart, twist and action, and an ocean of emotions and feelings have you completely obsessed and feeling all the feels. The gripping and moving storyline flows like silk and the romance is heartstring tugging, swoon inspiring, and fall head over heels inducing. The dual narration was wonderful and it made getting swept up into this book easy. The performances given were excellent and I felt their voices fit the characters well.

Finn was a fast paced read with an obsessed, morally gray hero and a kind hearted, strong heroine finding their HEA at last.

I absolutely could not put this book down! Finn and Una have the strongest, soul deep connection that has been put to the test. Finn is a morally gray Irishman who rules with a fair, iron fist. I love all his layers from the intense businessman to the attentive lover. He loves Una with his whole heart. She was such an amazing woman. Her loyalty runs deep and her heart is pure. She too loves Finn with her whole heart.

This story has it all! Nail biting suspense, action, beautiful second chance vibes, and so much more. Now I need Niall!
