I can't tell you enough how much I love this book. If you haven't read it you should. This was my 4th time and it was just as beautiful and heartbreaking and true.
One of the best romance novels ever :) Definitely would re-read this again! Here's my review on this amazing novel: http://theyabooknook.blogspot.com/2011/04/twenty-boy-summer-by-sarah-ockler.html
Let me start by saying that I was really looking forward to this book. I wanted to read it since it first came out. But, unfortunately I just didn't love this one. It was just blah! for me.
The plot is very interesting and the writing is brilliant in parts but i just didn't connected with the book at all and I hated some characters.
The Good:
I liked Anna as a character and I somewhat connected to her.
The story was interesting.
The writing was good and the only reason I finished the book.
The cover is gorgeous.
The Bad:
The plot was ruined because the book seemed so long and draggy.
I simply hated the character of Frankie. I hated it so much that I didn't even sympathized with her.
It didn't get Anna and Sam's relationship at all.
The grown up aspect of the book seemed childish and immature.
Overall: 2/5 and a thumbs down

Favorite Quote: “Weeping is not the same thing as crying, It takes your whole body to weep, and when it`s over, you feel like you don`t have any bones left to hold you up.”
Favorite Character: Anna
I don't know if it's because it was targeted to a younger audience but I didn't really liked this book. All this ''you have to lose your virginity'' talk was a bit much. We don't get to like the love interest either which was weird. I liked the writing and some aspect of it but overall I wouldn't recommend it.

Sometimes you gotta just take things for what they are and appreciate them, not try to label it or explain it. Explanations take the mystery out of it, you know?
While reading this book, I laugh, I love, I cried and then I fall in love again.

I've decided to fill my Summer TBR list with summer-themed YA romances, and this was a fantastic book to start with. I love the cheesy, emotionally-charged plots of YA when the author is both good at telling a story and weaving words together, and this book had the perfect formula for me. It was a really great coming of age story with a perfect summer backdrop. I loved it!
