I remember finishing Needing Him, with my mouth hanging open, desperately needing John’s book. John has always been my favorite Bishop brother. From the first time we met him in Courtney’s books, I knew I needed to find out what secrets he was hiding behind that brooding exterior. The quiet types are always my favorite. With Chasing Him, Kennedy Fox outdid themselves and I adored this story.
John Bishop is thrust into fatherhood when his daughter his literally left on his doorstep one day. He knows absolutely nothing about being a dad, and before long he’s overextended himself, and he’s tired and cranky. Despite his best intentions, everything feels like its falling apart. Enter Mila! Mila was the perfect match for John and I just loved these two together. They really balanced each other out, and I loved how they were with each other, and with Maize.
Speaking of Maize, this little girl stole my heart and she was hands down, my favorite character of the entire book. Being a mom to three little ones, my heart just broke for this little girl, but I was so happy to see John step up to the plate and be the father she truly needed. It all took me back to the times that my kids were that little, and how hard it is to get on a schedule and adjust to the craziness of a newborn.
Kennedy Fox has managed to further instill themselves in my reading life, and they are hands down on of my most read romance authors. I’ve read everything these two have written together, and I can’t wait to gobble up more. If you haven’t read anything yet by these too, then it is an absolute must that you start now. I highly recommend starting with This is War, the first in the Checkmate Duet series, and probably my most favorite book by them. However, these Bishop brothers are seriously giving Travis a run for his money in the favorite department!!

Move over Evan and Emily! My new favorite Bishop couple is now John and Mila!
From the beginning, I knew John was the "nice" twin. He wasn't as naughty as Jackson (or at least if he was, he didnt brag about it!) so I was pleasantly surprised as to how interesting his story was.
John finds out that he has a baby girl right frim the beginning and he really steps up to the plate. I was so happy to see this. What a good man he turned out to be for his daughter!
I knew as soon as Mila left for Texas that she wasn't going to want to go back to Georgia. Who could blame her? She had a pretty sweet nanny gig for a ridiculously hot single dad. But she also had goals of her own. I loved the back and forth of these two and that it wasn't instant dating/sex for them.
But the best part of this whole book and what makes John even sexier is what he does for Mila towards the end of the book. He was completely selfless and supportive and I loved him for that!
Okay Kennedy Fox, I'm ready for Jackson now. I think he's going to be a handful!

Kennedy Fox – Chasing Him (Bishop Brothers, #3)
Mila and John’s story. It is a story that starts very slowly. I really had to come in because you have to wait quite a while before things really get started between the two of them. Of course the scenes between Maize and anyone are gold because she’s a precious little sweetheart.
At the end of ‘Needing Him’ we find out John’s become a dad, but then you don’t know anything about the mom or what happened. In ‘Chasing Him’ you find out the details of everything that happened to John that has to do with Maize and her mom of course, but again, it is predictable. It doesn’t make it any less good or something like that, just a tad less exciting, because it’s exactly what I thought it would be –again, not at all bad.
Kennedy Fox is a really steady author and I really love her writing style and her books, so she literally can’t do anything wrong in my eyes I guess. Her characters are very different, fun and interesting because some you don’t see through in a second. Her writing isn’t too difficult, but also not too simple, so it’s really balanced.
Then, for ‘Chasing Him’, I really enjoyed reading it. It is so different from the last two that it keeps
it very interesting and keeps you hooked to the story. Especially John, I had to read more and more.
It’s also a book about single-parenting and in the New Adult genre you don’t see it often from the start like this. It is a special book and I honestly can say this series is becoming one of my favorites of all the ones I’ve read so far.
4/5 stars.

Who is John Bishp? What does he do for a living? Who is Mila Carmichael? Why does she go to Texas? What happens when she is there? Who are Evan, Jackson, and Alex? My favorite comment/line of this book was, "Yes, that exact look. My mama has the same one." You'll have to read to see what is being discussed at the time and why that very quickly was my favorite line or lines of the whole story! The dichotomy between Jackson and John is a hoot. I do not like the Kensingtons at all. Have tissues ready at about 80% of the way through the book. This is the third book of the series, now I have to go back and get my hands on the first two.

This book is based on the single father, beautiful baby girl and nanny trope. It is the most predictable plot ever, but if you place it in the talented hands of these two authors, it turns into a beautiful small town romance.
This book stars the wonderful Bishop family in Eldorado town. Evan and Alex are already taken with babies or pregnancies. River and Emily are now part of the family and we get great scenes of the fun family times. Mama Bishop is still the force behind the family and she pursues getting all her sons married and giving her grand-babies. The only single men left are the twins, John and Jackson Bishop.
One day John gets the surprise of his life: a baby is left on his front porch with a letter from an ex-girlfriend, Bailey. Bailey died and left him their baby girl. Needless to say, he’s at a total loss taking care of his daughter but he forges on, determined to face his responsibility. He’s in charge of the family’s B&B, so he’s burning the candle both ways and it’s killing him. Mama Bishop to the rescue, she finds him a nanny!
Mila came from Georgia to Eldorado to spend the summer with her grandparents, before starting her first year as a first-grade teacher. She’s waiting for job offers and needs the distraction of being away from home. She’s also recovering from seeing the guy she liked get engaged to another girl. She’s offered the job to be nanny to a baby girl, and given she loves babies, she takes the job.
So far, very predictable. Mila and John are very attracted but John is the serious and responsible one of the twins, and he insists that Mila is his employee so she’s off-limits, to him and to Jackson. As the days go by, and Mila and baby Maize get attached, he can’t help but admire Mila’s treatment of his daughter. She’s also beautiful and very enticing. Mila is also attracted to John, not just because of his looks but his demeanor. Inside the strict man is a mushy and tender-hearted guy. And then the book goes into a very unpredictable path, which is great and intriguing.
What gives this book a different flavor are the dynamics of the family, his and hers, and the interconnections. Love for family and children permeate in this book and is very uplifting. Jackson adds a lot of spice to the story with his shenanigans and the darkness inside that he alleviates with drinking and acting assholish. He loves Kiera, who becomes a great friend to Mila, but refuses to act on it. Kiera loves him back, but got tired of waiting for Jackson, so she starts seeing Trent, the veterinarian. This is like a side-plot, and you just know that Jackson’s book is going to be explosive.
With great writing and great pace, we are treated again to a warm-hearted, feel-good book. I can’t wait to read Jackson’s book and see how the authors can make him sound good, after so much whoring and grandstanding in the previous books.

After Evan and Emily, John and Mila are my second favorite couple. It’s never a dull moment in the Bishop household.
John is very reserved compared to his crazy identical twin brother Jackson. So when book 2 left on that cliffhanger about him I was more intrigued by him because he’s so responsible. When this book started where it left off I knew that it wasn’t because he was irresponsible but because of a tragedy. John is my favorite Bishop brother. He handled being a single dad like a champ with so many issues. He put his life on hold until his mom got him a nanny. A young gorgeous nanny.
Mila was visiting her grandparents in Texas while waiting to be called for interviews for teaching jobs when the opportunity card up for her to be a nanny to a newborn. When she found out it was to a gorgeous sexy single dad cowboy she was stunned. They fell into a routine and attraction was immediately but this was a very slow burn.
Mila and John were obviously attracted to each other and developing feelings but they didn’t say anything to each other. John was to respectful to cross that line with his daughter nanny. Mila thru caution to the wind and made the first move. After that things heated up.
There was some very emotional parts which tugged at my heart. Other than that it was no drama and very cute read with an adorable baby girl. I can’t wait to see how much this couple grows in Jackson’s book. Now he’s the one I can’t wait to see tamed. He’s too much, lol.

Once again Kennedy Fox has surpassed my exceptions and written a book that you won’t want to miss. I was sure that I wouldn’t be interested in John’s book because I have been waiting on pins and needles for Jackson’s book but I was totally wrong. Kennedy Fox put their spin on his story and I could not put this book down. Not only do you admire John for going on all in when he finds out he has a kid but I love how Mila inserts herself into the mix. She doesn’t become the focus, the three of them do and you find out so much about both Mila and John and what makes them tick. Kennedy Fox continues to write amazing stories and this one is one of the best. I can’t wait to see what’s in store next!
John just found out he is a father. But he also finds out that he is in this alone. The woman who brought his child into this world is gone and now he needs to figure out how to take care of her. But he can’t do it alone, and he needs help soon or he won’t be able to do his job and raise Maize. Little does he know his mother is already looking for someone.
Mila needs some time away after finding out her best friend is moving on with his life. She has always had feelings for him but she needs to move on also. When she goes to visit her grandparents for a month she isn’t expecting to find a job as a nanny to one of the Bishop brothers. And when she sees that John needs more than just day help she offers to stay all the time.
As they figure out how to coexist together there is no denying the attraction between them, but are they both ready to become involved with one another? Or do they both have baggage that needs to be sorted before they can find a way as a family?
