*sighs*
I've been stressed and feeling brutal for the past couple of days, and I'm not afraid of admitting this book deserves more than 2☆ but here I am undeterred.
I LOVED the characters. Quirky with golden retrievers energy and pure intentions. HOWEVER, they were cringey sometimes, the dialogue always felt rushed and the emotions felt on surface level.
It was a decent plot, through-thick-and-thin found family and adorable. I'd recommend for a quick read.

John is probably my favorite bishop brother. There’s just something about a single dad that really does it for me. Omg I absolutely loved this book. John is such a good dad and mila is just the sweetest person ever. I love how they both start by trying to suppress their feelings for one and other but ultimately they end up together. Ahh and the bond that mila and maize have ahh ma heart simply can’t. And don’t even get me started on John he’s such a gentleman and he truly has my heart. I found myself smiling and giggling through out the book. I just absolutely adored this whole book. And one more thing miss Kennedy Fox really knows how to set up the next book, I’m so excited for the next book.

Chasing Him by @kennedyfoxbooks .
Bishop brother 3 💛
John and Mila’s story was humorous and sweet and gut-wrenching (at times), but I loved every word of it.
I haven’t read many single dad romance stories, but Chasing Him touched on things a little differently than what I’ve previously read.
I had trouble putting the book down, even when I had other things to do (eating, cleaning, writing, life stuff 🤣). Now that I’ve finished all the wonderful pages, I’ll try to do some of those things before I start reading the final Bishop brother book, Keeping Him (which is almost 500 pages 😲🥰).

Alright, are you ready for this?! First let me say HUGE thanks to Kennedy Fox for sending me a copy in exchange for a review! These ladies clearly did not hold back when it comes to John and his story!
When you're reading Mila's side of the story, you can get the feeling that being a teacher and a parent is right up her alley. I could totally connect with the aspect of her going to school to be a teacher. When she begins her new job as the Nanny, you automatically are like "yeah she should be in this" because she's a born natural. The way she cares for Maize is amazing, and it actually makes me think what I would be like if I were to have a little one....Let's be clear, I'm not ready for that Mmkay?!
"I'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe, and if that means fighting for my rights, I will until the day I die."
There were so many moments that left me on highs and lows, and so close to throwing my tablet across the room (I didn't, don't worry!)because it was just a roller coaster of emotions. Kennedy Fox LOVES to tug at the heartstrings and leave you an emotional mess like a puddle on the floor, with nothing to clean you up, including the drool from these hot cowboys!
Overall, this was an amazing read. The characters were so relatable, there were so many twists that kept me wanting more, and had me completely engulfed within the book. The relationship that Mila has with Maize and John along with the other Bishop clan is truly admirable. The support, strength, and care that literally everyone has for one another while also keeping their hilarious quips and jabs made this an incredible read! It was so fast paced, and had so much going on, but was able to keep the key strong components that made me an emotional mess in the end, and of course that cliffhanger!! WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!!

Chasing Him is the third book in the Bishop Brothers series. This book is told from dual points of view from John Bishop and Mia Carmichael. John is the more stable one of the twins. However when a baby shows up un-expectantly and the letter says he's the dad to a baby girl. The mother passed on, and she's all he has left. He takes the role very seriously and will do whatever he can to take care of his daughter.
Mia has been in love with her best friend for as long as she can remember. However, she finds out he was seeing someone and got her pregnant and is going to marry her. She takes off to visit her grandparents, and stay there for a few weeks. However, after she gets there she gets talked into helping nanny for John's daughter.
After a funny first encounter, John gives Mia the job. She is a lifesaver for John. He starts to get on a better schedule and becomes a functioning adult again. They start seeing each other, and feelings grow.
However, not everything goes as it's planned. What happens when his daughter's grandparents from the mother's side come and try to get custody of the baby? What happens when Mia's time is up? Will she decide to stay and be with John and his daughter? Or will she go off to her dream job?
I really enjoyed this story and loved getting to know John and Mia. I can't wait to see what happens to John's twin brother and the last Bishop brother in the next story!

Audiobook Read (Audible Plus)
Narrators: Aiden Snow & Vanessa Edwin
This was actually a relisten for me after reading the other books in the series for the first time.
I don't know why this one doesn't work for me because it's all the tropes I love.
I do love the narration though. The southern accents sound so sexy from Aiden & Vanessa!
