John & Mila what a terrific pair. This book is my favorite book out of all of them. I was so emotional from start with the letter about mazie until the very end. I cried and I laughed numerous times. I can’t put into words how much this book affected me but it has and I’m grateful for it. The relationship between them was so organic & I just loved each of their characters and backgrounds. I’m also glad Kennedy Fox didn’t push the whole DILF aspect or make him too sad either. Each aspect surrounding the mother & johns life were kept separately which I liked. This book was honestly amazing I wouldn’t change a think, I almost wish it was a duet.. Somebody send me my own personal John Bishop please!
As with any Kennedy Fox book- I fell in love with all the characters, and the story.
Chasing him follows John Bishop- who is a brother to Evan, Alex, and Courtney and twin to Jackson. Where Jackson is wild, John is more mature. John runs the B & B at their family owned and operated ranch.
And one day he gets a surprise of his life- a baby on the B&B porch with a note that says she is his. Now with his whole world rocked on it's axis- the Bishop family comes together to help.
Mila Charmichiel is a Georgia girl, who is in love with a boy who doesn't see it. When he drops surprising news, she decides it's time to visit her grandparents in Texas for a few weeks and get away, while waiting for the phone call to her dream job.
While visiting her grandparents, Mrs. Bishop asks if she can help out as a Nanny for John since he's too stubborn to ask himself.
No one said being a parent was easy-going and John is learning just how tough it can be on his own. When he finally agreed to a trial run for Mila to be a Nanny- their will powers will be put to the test. Can they keep their relationship as strictly professional?
Honestly I couldn't wait to jump into John Bishop's book! I have been waiting for it since the way Needing Him ended and am so glad I finally got the answers I was looking for!! I fell in love with John, his Baby, and Mila's story. The chemistry and build up, the push and pull, the forbiddenness of it. And I loved all the Bishops in this book as well-being we see more from each of the Bishops (Courtney, Alex, Evan, Jackson, & their parents plus significant others). I loved that despite John's baby sending a shock to the whole Bishop family how they came together as one big loving family and supported him when he needed it most. You will find out more about this cute bundle of joy- along with who the mother is, and more in this story. And now I am desperately waiting for Keeping Him- Jackson's story, and the conclusion to the Bishop Brothers novels.

Chasing Him in deed involved lots of chasing and the denying of feelings. I don’t know what it is but a single parent and the nanny that gets me hook line and sinker every single time. Okay, I lie I know what it is, it’s the fact they both main character fight their feelings for another.
John gets the surprise of his life when he finds out he’s a dad, a single dad at that to a baby girl named Maize. He didn’t even know his old flame was pregnant and his heartbroken to discover the mom passed away shortly after giving birth. Lucky for him, he has one heck of a supportive family who steps up to help him with this new chapter in his life.
Mila decided it’s time to visit her grandparents after her longtime crush and best friend lets her know he got someone pregnant. She had plans to stay for a month then she’s offered a job to be a full time nanny. It’s just temporary until she goes back to Georgia for a teaching job.
Mila was suppose to be temporary, just to help get Maize on a schedule but she ends up being a saving grace for John. Mila ends moving into John’s house to be 24 hour help so he can get sleep and continue to work his full time job at the family B&B. John has had eyes for Mila since he first laid her but marked her off limits because she’s the nanny and he will not cross that line. But as Milas time in Texas is coming to end, the walls John created come crashing down and confesses his feelings for her only to find they are 100% shared. Then John lets it be known he can’t stand in the way of her dreams and tells her to take her dream job. Mila goes back to Georgia for a job to find that leaving John makes her goody basket tingle. So with the help of Mrs. Bishop she moves back to Texas and proves to John that he and Maize are her dream.

It's so good to reread a book! I can say I'm lucky because when I reread a book it's like reading it for the first time. If you don't know, I'm a fan of books with single parent tropes and Chasing Him is one of my favorites.
John is handsome, reserved and very protective of his daughter. He is helped by his family until his mother hires Mila as a nanny for little Maize.
Mila is visiting her grandparents, not knowing that she will find her soulmate here. She is very funny and teaches John a lot while she is a nanny. The two become friends relatively quickly and fall into a routine that makes them get closer and fall in love.
Maize is a cutie and gets attached to Mila from the first moments. From the beginning of the book we knew how and why she arrived at John's door sitting in a car seat. Of course there is also drama, especially when Maize's grandparents want to be in the little girl's life.
So if you love books with single parent tropes I recommend this book. I'm sure you too will fall in love with John, Mila and little Maize.

John Bishop is handsome, gruff, and reserved. He isn't your typical single dad, having met his daughter when she was dropped off on his front porch in a basket. Even with the help of his brothers and parents he's wearing himself thin, so when his mama sets up Mila Carmichael to be his new nanny he can't say no, even if she tempts him in ways she shouldn't. While Mila's watching little Maize, Johns running the B&B, but in the evening all bets are off. He doesn't anticipate how much she'd teach him, how much he'd enjoy her company, and how fun it would be to tease her about her love of football. They fall into an easy routine, but neither can deny the attraction between them. But Mila is only there for the summer and when it's time to return to Georgia John has to decide if he tells her the truth about her feelings or if he lets her go.
I was really excited to read Chasing Him, John has been the brother I haven't gotten a feel for with the previous two novels in the series. He's fairly serious and reserved, even if he knows how to drink with the best of them. We've seen him work the B&B, we know he goes to all the same events as his brothers, and we know he had a girl around once, but we don't know much else. He was a pretty big mystery for me. Mila Carmichael, like in the previous series, is new to town, single, and not looking for a man to be in her life. She's a bit younger in age and life experience compared to the other characters, but it made for a new perspective on the brothers. She's also spunky, hilarious, and seems to have a heart of gold. Anyone, including all the characters in the books, can see these two are meant to be. Their romance, though, is definitely of the slow burn variety, taking both ages to recognize that there's something more than just lust brewing between them.
All the Bishop brothers are the same when it comes to their heart, STUBBORN. Chasing Him wouldn't nearly be as entertaining if it weren't for John constantly denying his feelings, falling for his brother's baits, and always focuses on everything else but the truth. I loved that we, once again, get so much time with the Bishop family and that this time there was a small, separate storyline about Maize, her mom, and her maternal grandparents. It did read a little slower than I expected and the end was a bit predictable, but I remained engaged from start to finish, loving how John and Mila did finally come together and how they learn the value of going after a dream and embracing the changes that life throws your way.
Chasing Him is book three in the Bishop Brothers series, while they technically could be read as a standalone I wouldn't recommend it. Each story follows a brother on their journey to love, even if they're not quite ready for it. The books also allow you to catch up with the brothers from the previous story, giving us a glimpse at the future each brother has found after finally meeting the one. I love these books, they're lengthy and the romance moves at just the right pace, but I'm certainly sad there's only one left.

These books are so addicting to read! I can't stop. I am so sad I only have one more left.

Still reading my way through this series.
Oh John - he may be my favorite Bishop. A baby shows up on his doorstep (that everyone assumes is Jackson's of course) and life changes forever.
In walks Mila into their lives as sweet Maizie's nanny and you can just see the writing on the wall.
I loved the way he handled himself and their love story was so sweet!

Mila and John's story has to be my favourite out of all the bishop brothers. So wholesome and really tugs on your heart strings but oh boy the steam is out of this world too.
An unexpected baby shows up on Johns doorstep and Mila is brought in to help him transition from cowboy to dad, with a few speed bumps along the way in true Kennedy Fox fashion ;)
