Oh no, here we go again

I read this at the request of my 10 year old.
Now, I am aware that is was written in a different time, yet I cannot get past the uncomfortable feelings it brought up. The Japanese centre fold was shocking and then the arrival of the character Sakura - the only female character. She is a hollow character that lusts after a boy. So sad. So boring. So disappointing.
So much so that I couldn’t see the good parts to the manga.

almost done with the show figured it was time to read it, and i am biased because i love the show but it is just solid.

I have read this before, so this is a re-read. Upon a second read, I really enjoyed it a lot more. So I upped my rating from a 4 to a 5, great introduction to a series and I am so excited to continue on.

My first manga and wanted to know more about Naruto and why he likes it so much. I enjoyed it. Maybe not something I would have picked for myself but I'll read more. It's engaging and I am enjoying the artwork.

Naruto Uzumaki yearns to be acknowledged by his ninja village, but the evil fox spirit sealed into him while he was a child makes him an outcast among his people. Determined to prove himself worthy and to achieve his ambition of becoming the Hokage -- the ninja leader -- Naruto enters training along with the other young ninjas and meets Sasuke and Sakura, whose own ambitions and pains will define his path. With a strong focus on belonging and redemption, this terrific manga series showcases an imaginative parallel world of adventure, humor and strife. -- Hillary D.
