So! I read the first volume of Naruto. I did so for three reasons:
1) A former friend recommended it to me yeeeeears ago (seriously, it must have been in 2004, 2005? Something like that) but back then me and manga/anime Just Didn't Work. Now that that has changed I figured I might give it another try, because I really do take recommendations seriously.
2) I kinda sorta spent the whole of yesterday reading Naruto fanfic (Kakashi/Iruka) and I wanted to see what the characters were "really" like.
3) This only cost me 2 Euros.
And what can I say, it was fun? This sort of thing is the perfect lunchtime reading because it isn't exactly challenging but entertaining and one volume is a good length for a lunch break (during which one may also have to make conversation - yes, even as a bookseller). So I may read more of this in the future. I definitely will read more fanfic.
