I enjoyed this more than the first volume. It seemed less chaotic and it helped that the first issue focued on the Reverse Flash. I'm still not thrilled with Barry Allen, but I'm ready for Flashpoint now.

Time travel is a hard one for me. This volume I actually understood, which means it was well-done. I liked it, followed it, fit it into the canon pretty well. It clears up some knowledge holes I didn't even know I had. An easy and enjoyable read.

There was nothing wrong with this Flash tale. Johns understands all the characters very well. My issues were with this being made only to set up Flashpoint. It dealt with so much from the previous two books that it seemed repetitive. On its own, fine but if you were to read them back to back, less so. Hot Pursuit was less than stellar, especially the end of his tale. The art by Kolins and Manapul was very good. Overall, The Road To Flashpoint was fine but unspectacular.

Great intro. Too bad DC released this 3 weeks AFTER the story arc is was supposed to precede. Idiots. Geoff Johns was great but the art of Francis Manapul and Scott Kolins was stunning.

A good starting point for me, the TV viewer. It's a familiar enough storyline, but it gives the reader a chance to process the differences between the show and the comic.

This series was so good. Geoff Johns does understand Barry Allen to a depth not everyone else around does. Francis Manapul’s art is beautiful— I know, I know, I’m not a big fan of Kolins’ art, but when mixed with Manapul’s I can handle it.
Anyway, this whole thing lead to Flashpoint and I guess I didn’t enjoy it that much when it was first published because of all the rant around, Dan DiDio saying this was just a “soft reboot”, that things weren’t going to be changing that much. Actually, it was a hard-core reboot. I may have appreciated much more what was going on at the time, even if the New 52 turned out to be such a fiasco. The build up to Flashpoint was great though, and the relaunch shouldn’t be defining the creative process that lead to it.
Geoff Johns is consistently one of the best writers DC Comics has ever had.

read this after watching season 1 of the flash TV show. I had never read any stand alone flash comics but I really enjoyed this. it was a good take on a story, and made me want to read more.

By the time i write this i haven't read the main "Flashpoint" event. But this comic really got me excited to read it. Also i like the way we kind of get to know Reverse Flash a little bit with a small origin story at the start.
