Incredibly useful for any rehabilitating procrastinators who really need a kick in the pants. Really so compassionate and useful for anyone who wants to hack their own workflow. I’m eternally glad that Betsy Capes recommended this book. I have pages of notes to remind me of key points, and I’m already working to implement several key suggestions. Highly recommend this book.
Read Getting Things Done and The Success Principles instead.

I was tied between 3 and 4 stars for this. It was, as other commenters have noted, incredibly repetitive. However, the message it was repeating was one that resonated with me, so it was worth sticking with. Also, there was a good section on delegating that I have repeated to several people since finishing the book, so that's worth a star right there. It's a quick listen ( just 2 1/2 hours) , so there is not a huge commitment needed. If you have an issue with never quite getting to the big stuff because you are busy clearing the decks of the little stuff, this is a good book for you.

All in all good fast paced book that gives quick skills but repeats the same 5 tricks in different ways. This book is short and could be even shorter.
Had some good points but was written as if everyone’s brain works exactly the same way. Definitely going to use some of the principals but it made my eyes roll too many times to rate it any higher. It’s also very work/career oriented and as I am currently not employed it was occasionally hard for me to relate this to being more productive personally rather than professionally. It also seems to be written from the perspective of someone who puts work and professional productivity above all else in life, like a happy and productive home life is an after thought. Like he says that time spent at home with loved ones is one of the most important things you could do for your happiness and then in the same chapter tells you to wake up and start working earlier and stay later in the day. It is also most definitely a male perspective and doesn’t take into account that women operate on a 28 day cycle rather than a 24 hour one and our productivity levels will NOT look the same every day but will follow a roughly month long cycle.
