There is so much to love about this book, but if I am comparing it to the other books in the Anne series, it is one of my least favorite. I love this stage in Anne's character development and the change of setting, but the secondary characters bore me when compared to the personalities we meet in previous and subsequent books. That's just my personal, and by no means analytical, impression.
Love the book, not thrilled with the narrator of this audiobook.

Anne again...out-dated, formulaic, for a younger audience...but I still loved it!
Ended up liking this one more than Anne of Avonlea. It has more Anne-in-the-city stories, which for some reason I enjoy the most. Avonlea is nice, but everything is fairly safe/predictable. Also, this book has . Overall, still very lovely. And strange/interesting to read now that I'm actually Anne's age and not 11 years old.
