I read this again for a book club, and was pleased to see that I am not the only one having felt slightly confused with the story line. But the jokes were just as enjoyable, and I have a group of friends to whom I can throw the 42 number at random.
An all-time favorite and one of the first books I remember reading that was funny and intelligent.

Generally, if I'm trying to sell this book, I ask if the customer likes Monty Python. If you dont, dont even bother. You may as well go and put your head in a paper bag and wait patiently for the end. I love this book, because it's silly for pure sillynesses sake, and that, my darlings, is a beautiful thing!
