Generally, if I'm trying to sell this book, I ask if the customer likes Monty Python. If you dont, dont even bother. You may as well go and put your head in a paper bag and wait patiently for the end. I love this book, because it's silly for pure sillynesses sake, and that, my darlings, is a beautiful thing!

A whimsical book by Douglas Adams. The book follows an unusual. AST of characters as they travel the universe following the “hitchhikers guide”. I appreciate Adams light hearted touch to the book and it did keep me engaged throughout. I particularly liked the jokes on government bureaucracy. However ultimately the book was a little too fantastical for my personal taste. I can appreciate the genius of the author but do not feel this is a book I will come back to.

I’m not gonna lie, I picked up and put down this book several times after promising my son I’d read it before I turned 42. I finally decided to listen to the audiobook, and that was a good decision- Stephen Fry carried the humor in a way my internal voice wasn’t catching. While I chuckled here and there, and I can see the appeal, this one was not for me.
