A suicidal robot, an earthman, and a disguised extraterrestrial make for an entertaining read. Adams' style of writing kept me turning the pages, especially with the Infinite Improbability Drive as an amusing and rather convenient driver of the plot.
I'm glad to have read this cultural classic. What I didn't know was that this was the first book in a trilogy! It felt like I was running out of pages towards the end for the plot to resolve itself, but that explains it. Perhaps I'll read the other 2 sometime.
