Killian, I mean Liam - be still my heart.
Who knew Killian could be such a sweetheart? He broke my heart, he was full of swagger. Or at least, that is what he showed people. But as we get to know him, we get to know him more and he is in fact an amazing hero. I didn't like the heroine that much at the beginning of the book, but slowly started to see all the pain she hide and love her. I can't stop! I need to continue reading all the connected series by this author!

Oh yes!
I read the first series and immediately picked the second one up. Upon reviews, I had mixed emotion on whether I would like Juliet. As always, the writing is amazing and although she had her moments of annoyance, her background has enough to withstand her emotions and actions. As far as Killian, this was another sweet love story. Where the hard-ass mobster turns soft after meeting the one! I am a sucker for the fact that when a man truly loves you, they will give you the world on a silver platter.
Pick this up and read, but not until you’ve ready book one.
I need more from this series. I need spin offs on their lives and their children!

This was my favorite out of the duet. If you like mafia, then this might be worth checking out. It was not my favorite mafia but it was okay. I was really hoping to love it so I’m more disappointed in that than the actual story.
I also liked this book- again, Mafia stuff, a little heavy on the commandoish stuff, but it’s like dessert. Candy. Escape.
Yet another 5 star for J.T Geissinger! I loved Juliette so much! the fact that she steals from Killian makes me so happy! and her little dynamic with her friends warmed my heart!

Even since I read that Killian was getting his own book, I knew I had to read it. I'm so happy that we didn't need to wait long. I didn't know what to expect as the synopsis does not tell us much but I just knew I was not going to be disappointed. I'm happy to report that was the case.
The novel is told in dual point of views but Jules chapters far outweigh Killian's which is fine by me. I liked that even though Killian and Liam are twin bothers, that's pretty much where the similarities ended. Killian is much more witty, snarky, charismatic and extremely secure in himself. That's not to say that Liam doesn't, but Killian just has that little swagger to him.
Jules history was a bit of a mystery but I figured it out pretty quickly and I thought it added another layer to the story with how she reacts to Killian as the head of a mafia organization. I LOVED her bantering with Killian. I can read another book with just those two going back and forth for 200+ pages.
To end, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was worth the wait. It's easily one of my favorites this year along with the first installment, Beautifully Cruel. The only reason why I didn't rate it a full 5 stars is because I felt the book ended abruptly and maybe that's just me nitpicking.
