These were dark lite books. Entertaining, steamy, quippy with bad men who aren’t quite so dark. I’m disappointed that Diego and Kieran won’t get their own books. It feels like the series is incomplete.
I left a bit of a gap after reading the first book, I really enjoyed it but I felt like more could have been done. The second one however will probably be my favourite. I LOVE Killian he's my baby!
Still a good story despite my feeling it was a bit too similar to the first book. Give some time between reading these 2 so it feels fresh like a new story. And I appreciate how the heroine puts up SOME kind of resistance to the force of nature that is Liam (Killian) Black.
I appreciate the humor, the fire, the sidekicks with personalities- it all works. I just should have read something else between books so I could appreciate it more. It did feel a bit rushed but now that I am on to another similar type of book, I see it could have been much faster.
JT is fast becoming one of my authors to watch!

Loved, loved, loved this book! I highly recommend it.
This is my favorite of Geissinger's mafia books I have read - Queens & Monsters 1-2 & Beautifully Cruel and this. Now I can go back to read Q&M 3. Geissinger must hit the sweet-spot for what I like because they have all been 5-star books for me.
This book has a FMC, Juliet, falling in love with the head of the Irish mafia, Liam . This causes all kinds of issues due to who they are. He falls first, but she tries not to fall in love with him for most of the book (slow-burn). This leads to wicked banter, to a 'eureka' moment for her, and eventually to an HEA.
I keep running into spoilers as I try to write this review, so I say to just go into it without reading reviews, or ofc spoilers. You'll enjoy it much more. Go read it!

Not as good as the first book, didn’t enjoy the Insta-Love / Insta-Lust from Killian. Enjoyed his personality and background and Juliet was snarky and fun but their story just didn’t feel as real as Tru & Liam’s. This one was funny and there was lots of cute romance from Killian though.
Moderate: Sexual content, Torture, Kidnapping, Pregnancy

Well, after book one in this series gave me whiplash, I knew what to expect going into book two. This series is barely Mafia Romance, the lightest MR ever, and the plot kind of ridiculous. But like book one, Cruel Paradise had some sweet angsty moments I really enjoyed. A little bit more plot than its predecessor, I liked certain elements and tropes this book had, but I believe I actually enjoyed the couple in book one better. All in all, well-written, but just missing that kick I expect in my MR reads.
