If there had been less internal monologues and pointless banter between the FMC and her mind/her girlfriend and more insight into Killian's life I'd love that, 4 stars no brainer.

Alright so I can’t even lie I was a bit let down with this one but that’s on me bc my expectations were too damn high. My real issue was with Juliet tbh she just ugh… how can you like Tru but not a Juliet I’ll tell you..
Where tru was lead by strength because of how she was raised. Juliet was lead by fear for the lack of nurturing she didn’t get bc her mother died and ultimately made her seem weak & stubborn TO ME which just isn’t my cup of tea in a heroine. She thought she was standing for something when actually she wasn’t. I didn’t warm to her as I did with Tru & I was very frustrated with her at times. I dislike very much when heroines let their pasts control their decisions and interfere with their current situations.
Now Killian? Whewww babyyyy that man could GET IT. I loved him from the beginning. His sense or humor, confidence, wisdom, arrogance & just him being so self assured omg panty melting FORREAL. I also really loved how patient and understanding he was of Juliet even though she got on my damn nerves.
The spice? I really enjoyed the spice in both book but I can’t compare them which is weird bc they’re different yet very similar i mean duh they were written by the same woman. Anyway good duet. Read it.

Good fluffy romance with a bad boy mafia boss who actually isn't psychotic and abusive. Great tension and romance scenes and pretty good writing. The "sass" sometimes goes on a little too long but the banter is actually fairly funny which is a step up from most fluff romance attempts to write a "strong" female character.
