ā€œBroken souls are mended every day by mended souls that were once broken.ā€

I believe in Coballoway supremacy. There’s no one like Connor and Rose on this planet or in any other universe.

The start of this book felt slow. Connor and Rose decided to do some experiments to keep the media away from Jane and Moffy. It broke my heart every time they had to do something they both weren’t comfortable with, especially Rose, because she’s not into PDA, and they had to do some wild things in the open.

ā€œWhen I was seventeen you said you wanted to perform an autopsy on me, to crack open my ribcage and squeeze my heart until it burst between your fingers. What is that—if not flirting?"
She lifts her head off a pillow to near me, ā€œThat was me hating you, Richard. I dreamed of your death.ā€
ā€œYou dreamed of clutching my heart,ā€ I rebut. ā€œOf killing you,ā€ she emphasizes. I lean closer to her, our eyes locking.
ā€œVous m’aimiez.ā€ You loved me.

Rose Calloway Cobalt is an icon. The way I would do anything just to become this woman. She may be the fierce Calloway sister, but she has her limits too. She has feelings and emotions, and I hate it when people say she’s nothing but a cold-hearted person. Confidence and power radiate from her, and she carries herself like a queen, but for her loved ones, she would do anything. Rose is the most selfless person in this series for me. Her actions may seem rude sometimes, but her heart is always so pure. She’s the best, and I admire her for how she loves her sisters.

ā€œI’ve never shied away from who I am, even when people asked me to be softer, quieter or warmer. I’ve proudly remained me.ā€

Connor Cobalt is The Mastermind. This man is everything. He is charismatic, supremely confident, damn intelligent, and very intimidating. I love how he loves Rose and lets his guard down for her and the people he loves. Just being Connor’s friend is a great achievement because this man didn’t believe in love or friendship. But Rose and Loren changed that for him. He changed so much, and I will always love him. I don’t care if he’s egotistical, narcissistic, or whatever. He is Connor Cobalt to me. The man who knows how to love and be selfless. He also has a very sexy brain.

ā€œThere are rare people who will fuel the fire inside of you, who will awaken a dormant passion, who will push you and better you. She alone is my rarity.ā€

Connor and Rose are the king and queen of the Addicted series. It’s always been so beautiful to watch these two in love. They are both so confident and intimidating—even I would agree with Connor the immortal God and Rose the immortal queen. They are the most powerful couple in this series and the most selfless people I have ever read about. The way they carry themselves, the way they care about their loved ones, the way they would do anything—and when I say anything, I mean they would go to any lengths to protect their children and their family. It’s everything to me. And I hate it when the media and the world question their choices, their marriage, and their behaviour just because these two are different from other people. They deserve everything in this world and nothing less.

ā€œShe fuels the fire in my soul, the embers slowly dying, and she tries feverishly to awaken me.ā€

ā€œI’m tragically in love with you, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.ā€

I love their banter, their mind games, the way they mess with each other, the way they always know what the other is thinking just by staring into each other’s eyes, their rules, the way they comfort each other, the way Rose glares at Connor and says, ā€œI hate you, Richard.ā€ and he shows his million-dollar grinning smile to her and says, ā€œYou love me.ā€ The way she shuts his mouth with her hand because she finds Connor’s smile annoying. The way they talk in French, and it’s hot as hell. The way Connor always assures Rose that she’s his equal in every manner and that they will always fight together, side by side.

ā€œYou make me forget the worst parts of life.ā€ She actually smiles, ā€œAnd what’s the term for that?ā€
I think for a moment. A person who shrouds the painful moments, who conspires to make joyful ones. Who eliminates all the mundane shades in favor of ardent colors and keeps you burning alive. Is there a word for this rare person in someone’s life? I think there is.
ā€œSoul mate,ā€

There’ll never be a Connor without Rose and Rose without Connor. They are soulmates. Their story is everything and purely perfect. They both stand strong even when the world around them is shattering into pieces, and they both deserve at least a semblance of peace in their lives. I don’t know how they do it—constantly fighting battles of their own and for their children while protecting everything they have ever loved.

So much was happening—those experiments, and then the question about Connor’s sexuality. Seriously, let my man do whatever he wants. It was all in the past, so why the hell do they care so much about who he has slept with? And the scene where Rose and Connor broke down because the world was calling their marriage a sham marriage—it shattered my heart in the worst possible way.

ā€œI can hear our hearts breaking.ā€
A tear wets my fingertips, his tears, and his other hand encases my face, the way mine does him. His lips nearly skim mine. ā€œI’ll shield your ears from the sound of heartbreak.ā€

One thing I loved most was that, despite whatever happened in Connor’s past, Ryke and Lo never treated him differently. They still love him and respect him for the choices he made, and that’s the healthiest friendship. I loved all those moments when the Core Six spent their holidays together. It was just blissful to watch them happy and in love with each other. No paparazzi. No shitheads like Scott and Jonathan. They all feel like family, and I really don’t know if I’ll ever be able to describe my love for them in words.

I hate Scott with all my heart—for what he made Connor do and how he kept messing up their lives. This man deserves to burn in hell. My heart aches for Daisy and what she has to go through. I love how Ryke is always there for her, no matter what. They are both so similar in so many ways, and I’m glad they find comfort and love in each other’s company. Lily and Lo are still fighting their addictions while protecting their son. They have overcome so much, and I love them deeply.

I’m in love with this series and the characters. I can’t wait for Coballoway to create their empire, filled with their children, the way they always wanted. They deserve this. And I’ll be damned if I don’t see more little Cobalts running around.
