OMG, WHAT? For God's sake, Tatiana didn't have these vibes in the other books. the book became repetitive for me, the first 200 pages of the story were her being a character that does not provoke ANY EMPATHY. The grief she felt, a characteristic that could have made me feel empathy for her, was lost because she only complained and didn't know how to use her brain. the way they "met" 7 years before and she doesn't know who he is? like WHAT? girl... it seemed slow and boring to me. In the end I skimmed the book to find out what happened, and discovered that the ending is a cliffhanger... and not even a good one.

Compared to other Eva Winners books this one was just alright. The beginning was slow and it took me a while to get into the characters and the story. I didn’t really like Tatiana in the other books I saw her in and in the beginning of the story I still didn’t like her. I started to like her towards the middle but it still felt like something was missing. I liked Konstantin more than Tatiana. He knows what he wants and has been denied it for years. He’s pining for Tatiana after one encounter that she doesn’t remember. I can’t wait to see what happens in the second part of the Duet. The narration was good. The male narrator does a good Russian accent but his Italian one is a bit off. I liked the female narrator too she did a good job of displaying Tatiana both sober and drunk. Overall a good story and excellent Narration.

3.5 stars
it’d be better if it wasn’t so repetitive. but has potential.
“She might have been my obsession for years, but I’d become hers too.
We’d be two souls intertwined so thickly, nothing would be able to separate us. She hid fire beneath those pale blue eyes, I wanted to know how hot it burned.
And then, I wanted to let it consume me. Consume us.
Because we’d be one body and one soul.”

I liked it considering the number of plot holes and time line inconsistencies. I do wish it came with a family tree of all the characters mentioned. The world is complicated and I couldn’t keep track.

I loved how obsessed he was with her and she hardly remembers meeting him. Over all the mystery was intriguing on why her husband died and what he was involved in.
