The narrator was no good to listen too but the book itself was interesting. A bit of an odd twist to the story that was a little hard to follow, especially at the end of the book.

The first half of the book was pretty entertaining. It was exactly what I was expecting when I grabbed this one. I am a huge Star Trek fan. So, I think that adds to the enjoyment. It’s not a requirement for reading this one but it definitely adds something.

The second half of the book falls off a little bit and we lose our way somewhat. I understand why certain choices were made and by the time I got to the end of the book everything clicked together and it works. It’s just not as interesting as the beginning.

This is very much a John Scalzi book. The more of his work that you read the more than it all kind of feels the same. This is one of his better ones though and worth checking out.

The premise was more interesting than the book. Also, the more John Scalzi I read, the more samesy the characters feel.
