I continually am sucked in by any Emily Henry book that you put in front of me. This book hit me in all the feels, and consistently had me cackling throughout it. I wish I could read this for the first time again, but nonetheless, it was a super enjoyable read!
Enjoyed this easy read. A little slow in the middle for me but picked up again in the last 1/4

Fun, witty, and a nice age range on all the characters. The situation and reactions are realistic and it was an all around good time.
I don't know if this is my new favorite Emily Henry book or if it's still Book Lovers... either way, Funny Story was SO GOOD!!

I can always count on Emily Henry for a light read that's full of wit and a few unexpected turns. Daphne and Miles are in the same boat. Their respective partners, friends since childhood, have suddenly realized their love for each other, leaving Daphne and Miles to flounder in the wake of this abrupt turn of events. As they begin to spend more time together, they start to discover the multitude of things they appreciate about the other person and the fears that hold each of them back.
I loved the banter between the two protagonists, and they were both charming and full of heart. The dialogue is quippy and humorous without coming off as cheesy. In every new book, in a genre that easily veers into the archetypal and sappy, Henry always manages to bring a fresh cast of characters and plot line in each successive publication.
