YES YES YES.
Did I already say YES?!
I was a little skeptical when I started this series but in hooked me in so quickly. I was waiting for this book for SO LONG. And it made me sad that I had to wait even longer to finally buy the book and read it. In the meantime I reread the series and prepared myself and I swear I almost finished this in one sitting but sadly life got in the way.
This book was such a great ending.
It really tied everything together and there was no loose ends and what more could you ask for of a series finale?
There was plenty of drama and action and this book was by far the most heartbreaking of all of them. I could not believe some of the stuff that went down. I cried so much.
Michael Grant really made me feel something for his characters and I really loved how he developed them over the series. They grew a lot, whether for better or worse is still something I wonder from time to time.
Either way, this was incredible. I totally recommend this to anybody who loves dystopian or sci-fi or action. Really. Great stuff.

that awkard moment when you realize gaiaphage is both caine's father and his daughter and it is the grandfather of itself

Wow. I am now free to leave the FAYZ.  This book was BRUTAL. Everything that the kids went through was building up to a nearly 500 page continuous slaughter. Rough. But there was a ending.
brianna dying was so fucking tough. Gaia being able to tap into the powers was a cool twist. Caine sacrificing himself was sad in the end, orc too. My man edilio made it and even got to keep his man which makes this whole ordeal worth it for me. I truly expected  little Pete to survive somehow and the final final battle with him and Gaia was SO QUICK I almost missed it. The aftermaths pissed me off at first but got better. I don’t really understand Sam and his mom separating, I think that needed more explanation. The poof was also never explained, why it happened at 15. The sex scene with Sam and Astrid was brief and yet too detailed for 15 year olds. I love edilio. That boy never stopped fighting and he should never have to fight again. Sam going back to fight drake when the barrier had already fallen PISSED ME OFF and it didn’t make sense. Why did the powers disappear if they started before the FAYZ? Because they originated with the gaiaphage?
this was good but somehow I don’t feel complete with it. I’m not sure why and that is why it gets 4 stars. Taking a break and then I’ll come back for the other 3.

Now THAT'S how you end a series. I actually enjoyed this since I last read it back in....2013. And because of that I'm moving my 4 star rating to a 5 star rating. I'm actually glad I caved as I've mentioned in my "new" reviews for this series and reread and now listened to these after all these years. This series I think would actually make an entertaining TV show and to expand on them since so much happens in this story. Not my typical genre for science fiction, but it was actaully a lot more fun for me and so much nostalgia. But I need a break from this world before starting the first book of the spinoff trilogy which I'm pretty excited for. I just need a change for a bit after it seems I've been binging these books right after the other even though I was reading other books with them. Overall, what a great/fun series.

*SIDE NOTE: With the speed upped HIGH on the Libby audiobook I'm amazed I listened to this one in 3 day! eek! RARE record timing speed upped or not!*

I loved this book, for me this was an Perfect ending to the book. I must say i almost cried when brianna and orc died, but i most defently did when the last thing the aouthour said was "You are now free to leave the FAYZ" BUT I DONT WANT TO.

I've been waiting over a decade to read this book. I've long held this series as my favorite, and it remains so through to the last pages. This was a devastating yet riveting conclusion to the series. I'm so sad that it's over and I will never be able to read it for the first time again. But I will absolutely be reading it again one day.

Unlike the [b:Matched|7735333|Matched (Matched, #1)|Ally Condie|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1367706191s/7735333.jpg|9631645] series, I am sad about letting this series go. But it's over now! Finished! Diminished! *sobs*

Anyway, just wanted to say that this was a very good way to end the series. Realistic, sad, nostalgic, and perfect. Danger, romance, kiss-ass heroines - this book had it all. From the very first page the writing hooked me, and I was captivated. I think I'm still dangling on that hook. I was so attached to the characters, and whatever people say, I don't think it was that gory. One thing constantly got on my nerve - when they were trying to kill Gaia, something always came up. I just wanted to just jump into the book and choke the life out of Gaia so that Sam and Astrid and Orc and Diana didn't have to do more stupid stuff to try and kill Gaia.

Loved the book, loved the series, and I'm very sad to see it go.

i cannot believe i actually forgot most of the plot of this series considering how it all ends (well, sort of, grant wrote another trilogy which is the reason i'm rereading these). tragic, but fantastically executed ending. i have no idea where things go from here, but my only thought is "no body, no death" when it comes to drake

Wow. The longest series I’ve read and it was one hell of a journey! Can’t believe everything in the FAYZ is all over. This was a good series. Frustrating and a little questionable at times but it is YA at the end of the day, not particularly made for adults. Would recommend at least giving the first book a go

I am finally free from the FAYZ. It was a great ending. Even though it was tough to get through it, I'm glad I did.
