The fight between Wonder Woman and Firstborn was amazing. I liked the display of brute strength, but loved the cunning employed.
4-4.5 Stars
Such. great ending. Cheers to the new God of War!!!

Wonder Woman vol 4 was really good. I enjoyed especially the first born.
The volume deals with the threat of the first born to the last born. And how the last born is prophecied to destroy the world. And how Wonder Woman is going to stop that. And the fourth worlds involvement in the fray.
My major problem is the depiction of New Genesis, which takes up one of the five issues and left a sour taste in my mouth. For of all the fourth world shenanigans I’ve read or seen this characterization and depiction doesn’t fit any of it. The all father isn’t a caring leader as he usually is and Orion is just kind of an ass. It works though it’s my least favorite part of the volume.
Other than that this is really good. The ongoing story involving the first and last baby is progressed and seemingly finished as Diana takes up a mantle and I have a feeling that will be the thrust of the rest of the run.
I enjoy this fang of misfits. Even Hera. It plays Witt mythology in an interesting way as it’s another squabble between family but I want to see each depiction of these Greek gods. I really liked how Poseidon was depicted.
And it also wraps up Ares’ story and his arc with Diana.
Overall this was a really good volume that is an overall improvement on the last two.
4 stars.

War is the fourth volume in the New 52's Wonder Woman. The emphasis this time around is really on action and excitement as Diana goes head to head with the First Born. I was happy to see characters return from previous volumes, even though Orion still drives me a little nuts. We learn more about where he comes from this time around, which I think is supposed to redeem him, but he's not quite there for me. Interestingly enough, Hera is really growing on me. Speaking of characters, there are a couple significant deaths this time around, which really seems to raise the stakes for the series.
Series artist Cliff Chiang continues to provide pencils for Wonder Woman and it's really well done. I'm surprised how much I've come to associate his style of artwork with the title, and his character designs continue to be really striking and memorable. I do know that both Chiang and Azzarello only have a couple volumes left on Wonder Woman, which is a little disappointing, but inevitable. Eventually, creators need to move on to other titles. I am curious to see how they will tie off the remaining threads left in this book, concerning both the First and the Last Born, as well as the consequences to Diana's decisions.

“Perfection… Sometimes it’s our worst enemy. I tried to be perfect once. (…) Decided to just try to be better. Found a good way to do that is by accepting who you are.”
This issue is filled with really good scenes and interactions.
“You will make an interesting god of war.”
3.5 stars So far in the series this was the saddest one. I seriously cried at one point in the story.
4 days has happened since I read this and I have no idea what happened
