as much as i love second chance romance, i felt like this book lacked in so many aspects and just casually revealed why they broke up

i really just don't think this book was for me. to start with I was afraid it was going to be a cheating book, and it some ways it might be viewed that way. preeti was AWFUL with communication, not only with daniel, but everyone around her. living with your ex and not telling your soon-to-be fiance is sketchy as hell, even if it's an arranged marriage (which she willingly got into). i didn't feel the chemistry between the main characters, and it felt a little too much like the author was going for the notebook(building their house)/p&p (rich fam doesn't approve) but without any real sincerity. just didn't like the writing. and didn't like the plot or lack thereof. also, if you really didn't want to hang around your ex maybe don't go to his family events?? jc. i will say it did cover some complicated issues and topics, but the main characters were so insufferable to read it was difficult to appreciate any development on that end. all that being said I did tear up, bc I got daddy issues lol.
