(Brain Rot Diaries Pt. 6)

I read The Trouble with Hating You last year and absolutely loved it, so it's no surprise that I am a huge fan of Preeti and Daniel's story. I may even actually prefer it, as all the cards were stacked against them and they still managed to get it together for a pretty cute ending. From diverse leads, complicated relationships w/ family, and work struggles, the circumstances in this book were relatable enough that the premise of the book didn't come off as unreasonable, which I always appreciate in a contemporary romance. All in all, I want more adult romances from Sajni Patel!

A Romeo & Juliet second chance love story. With a touch of racism, financial discrepancies, arranged marriages, and lots of spice.

If the last one was steamy- this one is incredibly heartfelt and endearing. The portrayal of anxiety is so refreshing and the story of family is just so incredibly heartwarming. I did cry

The characters were so relatable, lovable, and funny.  This book tackles racism within minority communities and how that impacts the main characters feelings and decision making.

I want to wrap Preeti and Daniel in bubble wrap and protect them with my life. I need a prologue of this book, an epilogue and Daniel's POV. I need more. I am in all my feelings right now! 🥺
