This took SO LONG TO FINISH. I felt like the majority of this book was setup for the last 1/4 which was disappointing bc the whole time I just felt bored. The last part is obviously WILD and EMOTIONAL AF but I straight up was just bored and that’s why I didn’t finish for so damn long.
Of course I loved it just not as much as the first two. I’m excited to see where this story goes next though!! I love the characters (Helene is my fave ok) and I love this story, just this book felt like filler.

So far my least favourite in the series. Lots of to-ing and fro-ing. Helene repeatedly saying she can’t let the Commandant get the better of her, then letting the Commandant get the better of her. Did a fair bit of skimming, but I’m still invested enough to read on to the 4th and final book in the series & hope that it is a worthy conclusion.
