Quickly lost interest in the whiny, narcissistic protagonist. The plot sounded like something I'd find juicy and enjoyable, and I read many comparisons of it to Maria Semple's *Where'd You Go, Bernadette?*, which was great fun, but I just couldn't make myself care about his problems. (However, I liked the cover art.)

An enjoyable read.

The writing is good, but in service of a generic story about trying to fix a broken relationship. Nothing was particularly profound or new or even interesting. Except for the protagonist's parents, none of the characters are likable and because of that, I didn't much care if Richard and Anne got back together.

I'd suggest reading Maum's [b:Touch|32336834|Touch|Courtney Maum|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1493726833s/32336834.jpg|52974000] instead. That book is great and doesn't feel like it's treading the same ground that millions of other stories have.

Such a great read! I was hooked, riveted at every turn, every setback...until it crashed and burned in the end. Sadly, it is the aftertaste of the rushed ending that will linger in my mouth.

I did not like this book. I don't need to read the story of a coward who ruined his marriage and doesn't really do much other than stomp his feet and whine, "she belongs to me"
Spoilerbut somehow gets her back anyway
Spoiler. His character was so entitled. The whole book just felt kind of trite and, only four years after it was written, outdated. There was no lesson, no fun, no purpose in this book for me.

A very, very, very unlikeable main character. I keep hoping horrible things would befall him... I did enjoy the honest conversation about fidelity this couple has.
