I had a bit of a hard time getting into this, I do love Sci-Fi but I don't read enough of it. The Doctor who inspiration was pretty clear, which I love! It had the same feeling at times. Sometimes the book felt like it had way too much going on. I also don't need to know about the prophecy every time, we get it!
I think this book really picked up in the second half and left a lot of questions that hopefully will be answered in the sequel. It was a good first debut!

I really enjoyed this book. It is set in the future and the past, jumping between the two time periods. The main character, Asha, is taken surprise by a message sent to her which causes her to take action to escape from where she lives. Along the way she makes friends and faces lots of challenges. The book was well written, engaging and the friendships that develop feel real. I look forward to reading future ones in the series!

This is not only a love letter to Doctor Who, but to sci-fi in general. This book is utterly beautiful and I'm truly in love with it. I love the worldbuilding, I love all the characters, I love the plot. It's all incredible.
Now to wait for the sequel — I'm HYPED

I'm hooked! Can't wait to get my hands on the sequel
I really liked how the book began and I was really interested in the historical time jumping side of the story, but the sci-fi part was clearly the focus of the narrative, which I don’t think is as strong. Maybe I’ll come back to this one day because it has a lot of potential to be great.
