Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy!
I love a good Christmas story and this one really got me into the spirit. I enjoyed the plot, the character flaws and even the way the author took somewhat unlovable characters and gave them depth. It has the makings of a Hallmark Christmas movie, but this one has a little more sex appeal than most Hallmark movies. The emotional connection between Julie and Heath is fun, but I feel like the author made way too much of the age difference.
This book is worth the read this Christmas season. I have already cast this book for a movie, so I am eager for this one to make it to the big screen!

Not for me. I'm not a fan of books with multiple storylines where they all come together. I wasn't hooked, and some of it just seemed a little too clumsy and crass for my taste.

I started reading Susan Mallery books in 2022 and I loved them because they were usually a cute story that was easy to follow. I was excited to have another holiday book from her to read this year but I don't know, something about this one just didn't hit the mark for me. Maybe there was just too much going on, it was about *One Big Happy Family* so obviously there were going to be a lot of characters in this story. It just felt like a LOT and I couldn't really care about any of them enough.
My other big gripe, and this is just how she writes, but omg if I drank every time someone said "that's on me" or "that's on them" I would be hammered. I have noticed that she loves that phrase a few books ago but wow it stuck out A LOT in this one. And that's on her.
