My only criticism is the abrupt ending...I mean, really...what color cast did Julie get?

This is ok. It’s a little saccharine and it was hard to not roll my eyes at parts. I listened on Audio. The narrator did an ok job but her man voice is a little weird.
It’s fine for a feel-good Christmas book. I think i Like a Little more snark in my books .

I love Mallery books but couldn’t connect with this one. So many characters and all with struggles that I wasn’t in the mood to read about

Author uses a clinical tone throughout that provides bare details without letting the reader sink into them.
Author's aversion to the word stomach led to an overuse of the word "tummy"

Although I appreciate the inclusion of a character with a chronic illness and the fact that the book actually deals with the illness, this was mostly a "meh" read for me. The male characters felt underdeveloped and the resolutions were way too pat. Conflict arose, the MC reacted and then IMMEDIATELY adapted. Conversation happened and harmony was instantly achieved.  Overall wasn't terrible, wasn't great.
