I loved this so much! Books with an ensemble of characters are always my favorite.

This is a story about one big happy family dealing with various struggles over their Christmas holiday. Julie's adult children, Nick & Dana, are dealing with the loss of their father and eager to keep their unconventional family Christmas tradition in place for one more year. That throws a kink in Julie's plans to spend a quiet holiday with her new boyfriend Heath, Nick needs to postpone his honeymoon with his new wife Blair, and Dana will be distracted from her latest failed relationship.

The closer to the holiday, more events happen which cause the cast of characters invited to Christmas at the cabin to grow. The group dynamics continually shift, but ultimately everyone is happy to be together for the holidays - despite what crazy events may happen.

Everything about this book was predicable which is why it isn't a 5 for me but overall I really enjoyed it. It was a cozy, lighthearted, sweet feel good book!

Despite the very annoying MC, a 54-year old woman with the self awareness of a teenager, there were plenty of other likeable characters and elements in this fun, festive holiday read. It had just the right balance of family drama and cozy charm, with a few chaotic scenes that were reminiscent of The Family Stone. Very cute, would recommend.

This was definitely cuter then I thought it would be. I actually read it in one day but had put the start date before I starting reading it.
Very cute christmas book with of course a wonderful christmas ending.

you know when your english teacher told you to just start writing and see where things take you? that’s this book. it was disjointed, uninspired, rushed, convoluted and trying to do toooooo much. truly a 0.5 star read. should have DNF’d
