dark emotional mysterious tense medium-paced

Ooooooof. I almost wish I hadn’t finished this book. It took a LOT to slog through and then the double reveal at the end. Just cut off the epilogue and it’s at least 3 stars. Big ol meh not for me

This was fine. Fairly quick easy read, pretty dry though, I was not very emotionally involved. I was reeeeaalilly not expecting the villain to be who it was. I think I was mostly reading this to get to the end, but I'll give Brazier props for putting in a bit of discussion about internalized misogyny and the use of the word "crazy" to describe women who don't fit into societal norms.

Wish this had lived up to the cover. I couldn't warm up to Sera no matter how much I tried, the "atmospheric" setting was more dull than mood-setting, and the ending was less of a twist and more of an ass-pull. Nah.

This was good! At times a bit dream-like and weird (definitely helped by the MC who constantly on something and her questionable mental health). That epilogue! *shocked*

it was a little repetitive sometimes, but the end had me shook ! i read it very fast i really wsnted to know what had happened

3.5 stars.

If you like true crime podcasts, this will probably be a 4 for you.

I loved this quote, “It makes me think about how the patriarchy was preserved for thousands of years because organized religion gave men magical powers and made women their servants.”

Unique, awesome story. The characters are vivid and fun.

UGH. No. I hate, no, I mean I HATE the main character. This one has been moved to that rare shelf of DNF, with the likes of Twilight.
