I added this book to my TBR list 15 seconds after I finished the first one. As soon as it was available at my library I finished it in about 2-3 days. I loved it. I wanted to see more of Isolde because she doesn't show up until the last 1/3 of the book but I enjoyed getting to know the new character Tristan. I am eagerly awaiting the next book. I think I might even preorder it so I don't even have to wait for the library to get it.
Wheew, she spicy.
I don't know what I expected from this book... but it wasn't this. Which wasn't a bad thing. I think I just went in with a different understanding of the plot.... I thought it would be more Tristan and Isolde and less Tristan and Mark. This book is 99.9% Tristan and Mark, which is great, just don't expect a more literal retelling of Tristan and Isolde.
It was well written and the characters were complex and believable. I did thoroughly enjoy this, though I don't know if I need to read any more in the series.

It is a little slow to get into but really great once it gets going!!

One thing is for sure you can never go wrong when you pick up a Sierra Simone book. It's just one of those things that you mind as well get yourself nice and cozy cause you'll be going for a ride and your to do list is out the window. That being said Salt Kiss is amazing and sexy and I was hooked from the moment I started reading. It's just one of those books you can't put down. The writing is incredible and you just feel as though you are one with the book. This is definitely a must read and I'm so excited to continue the story with book 2.
So glad I read Salt in the Wound first! As much as I loved Mark and Tristan, I was really anticipating when Isolde would be introduced to the story/Tristan. The build up to their meeting was so good. The chemistry and spice!! Wow!! Perfect! so much spice! I couldn’t put it down! And the ending…ahh I need to read the next one now!

god i can’t even believe these books. like where has sierra simone hiding all this time??? 9% in and this book was already a 5 star. like oh lord. tristan, my love. the way his mind is written is delicious. scratch that, the whole writing of this book is wonderful. amazing. the prose, the symbolism, everything is so cunning about this and beautifully written. oh, and the guilt that hangs over all of them. the fact that the third book is not out yet is criminal. the excruciating detail in this book, god. and the fact that each pov is written completely different. i’ve never read a book as immersive in a character’s mind as these. i have never read anything like it. i loved every second of it. need it injected straight into my blood stream. the high this book put be on is unlike no other. 5 stars is not nearly enough.
