Holy s* ... that was a lot

I don't want to give this less than a 4⭐ on here as even though I might not personally have enjoyed it the way it's supposed to, I can recognize Sierra Simone's kill in writing what she writes (and I really enjoy her prose as well). It just wasn't a fit for me.

I do wish I'd seen more of Isolde though. It went a little bit stale and slow in the middle when repeated ya know scenes, one after another, and I feel it would've fit well to have her introduced maybe a bit earlier.

If you enjoyed her Camelot trilogy, you'd definitely enjoy this one too!

3.7⭐

Thank you to SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review

This was fantastic. I loved it so much. I knew nothing about it going in and that worked out really well for me.

M/M isn’t usually my thing but I really liked the power and experience imbalances and the changes that causes in the MC in regard to his emotions and loyalty. I also loved the drama that the F/M relationship added to the storyline, especially when they all came together in the last scene. That made me so so so eager to continue with the series and I’m thrilled to have a review copy for the next book waiting on me already.

Well this was rude, the whole time I was waiting for exactly what I knew was going to be the ending… so the novella and this book have definitely set me up to enjoy the next in the series.

Umm, Wow, this is not what I expected to read when I requested to read a dark romance.
It’s not that I have any issues or problems with it at all, it's just a first for me and the first 70% was an experience for me. I was a bit confused at first but then intrigued.

Sweet Tristan is a 29 year old ex military virgin. He’s never been with anyone, his experiences in this book leads him to fall in love with Mark and Isolde.

Mark is ex CIA, turned Kink Club owner. He’s powerful, rich and mysterious.

Isolde is a villain with a knife. She’s engaged to Mark but hasn’t seen him in 2 years.

The story with each of these 3 characters is dark, kinky and an explosive ride with a cliffhanger ending.

I listened to the audio while following along in my physical copy ...

I actually enjoyed this more than I thought ... even though there were some instances that I wish the book was over.

This was a great foundation to understanding what is going on with each of the characters and how they play a role in the 'big picture'.

I am currently working on the Novella and have to say this is the reason for the rating that it got ... besides Mark Travena being such a mysterious character that I need to learn more lol

It’s basically just an excuse to play the virgin/religion/kink tropes all at once and have exactly no plot or point beyond that. If that’s for you, have at it!

This was SMUTTY! But it has some plot to it, which I liked. I didn’t like the ending or maybe I would have rated a bit higher!

I’m invested now since this ends on a slight cliff hanger. However it feels a lot like the New Camelot series. It’s the same type story just instead of the president and such he’s a sex club owner.
