I’ve always adored Sierra’s writing, and Salt Kiss is the start of an incredible series.

Conflicted by how those perceive him Tristan is torn between the life he had in the military and the extent of wealth in the midst of his new employer, Mark Trevena, owner of a Kink Club. Two such shockingly different life’s, at first he struggles to reconcile the difference between them, but then, as he integrates himself into his new life, he explores more of Mark’s world—and the chemistry between them.

The tension, the passion, the anticipation. So damn good.

I love how Sierra explores the relationship between Mark, Tristan and Isolde! A forbidden romance that draws you in and makes you feel all of the emotions, so invested in Mark, Tristan and Isolde.

Firstly, seeing Mark and Tristian’s chemistry grow is everything. They complement each other so well. And then enter Isolde 🫠

Hot. Sensual. Empowering. Salt Kiss is a brilliant exploration of love and kink and trust.

As the tide changes, and we learn more about the mysterious Mark Trevena, Tristan and Isolde slowly get to learn one another.

It’s impossible not to love them all.

“Recognition comes, dizzy and certain. Because I know this, don’t I? The torment of having Mark Trevena inside your mind, your body, twisting you into someone you barely know.”

But on a more real note, I love and appreciate Sierra’s incredible exploration of kink in such a unique and honest way. I think there’s a power in that.
Safe to say I’m obsessed!

Salt Kiss is a phenomenal first book in the Lyonesse trilogy and I can’t wait for more.

“I’ve been through hunger and fire, blood and death, but there’s still a part of my heart that’s soft and easily bruised.”

An army veteran, Tristan Thomas, suffers from PTSD and grief after the war. After his father’s wedding, he becomes a bodyguard for his new uncle-in-law, Mark Trevena the former CIA agent and ruthless owner of an elite sex club in DC. He is infatuated with Mark’s dominant presence and very intrigued by the kink world. As their relationship strengthens both professionally and emotionally, Tristan chooses to become Mark’s submissive by serving him in all ways possible. A hopeless romantic (and virgin), he falls deeply in love with Mark only to be surprised that he has been engaged this whole time to Isolde. When Mark cannot fetch his fiance from Ireland, he sends Tristan instead to retrieve her by his luxurious yacht. Together on their journey back, Tristan and Isolde become enamored with each other’s company. The couple immediately bond over their complex feelings for Mark and realize the depth of love they have not only for Mark but for each other as well.

This book was SO addicting! I’m in love with Tristan— the man who catches feelings for almost anyone who looks at him! What a sweet baby angel, but oh my goodness he is a MESSY boy! Mark is a fantastic and mysterious anti-hero. Simone’s ability to make me root for him in every choice he made is insane! Isolde is a feisty badass and I love her allure. The spice in this book was TOP tier and I devoured every moment of it! The story ends on a cliffhanger that left me howling with laughter! I highly recommend the Lyonesse series. Please don’t be like me though and accidentally skip over the prequel novella: Salt in the Wound. Read that book first and it will make Salt Kiss even tastier to enjoy!

I went into this book 100% blind. The only thing I knew was that it was an MMF romance and oh my God I was not disappointed the slow burn tension between Mark and Tristan for like the first I’ll say 15 to 20% of the book was so well done and when the spice finally hit!!! my jaw hit the floor 😂. It was so good and so well done and then when you finally meet and hear of Isolde when Tristan had to go pick her up the Insta lust between  Isolde and Tristan was just very refreshing because it was the opposite of the slow burn build up between Mark and Tristan. It’s like two completely different types of romances from that slow burn BDSM/ kink explosion 😂 between the MMCS to this Insta attraction-lust type thing between Tristan and Isolde was perfect. And when the spice between Tristan and Isolde hit, I wasn’t ready for that either 😂, but the plot is so good like the storyline across this book amazing!!!. It was so well written so well done the cliffhanger at the end has me immediately jumping into book 2. I didn’t even realize this is a series when I bought this first book , but the only reason I’m so glad I put it off for so long is because I think the second book just came out (correct me if I’m wrong) so I can immediately jump into Honeycutt. This is easily going to be a top read for July and probably one of my top reads for entire the year.

Favorite quotes:

“Don’t ask me to be complicit in my own heart break”

“I don’t want easy” I whisper, and then I utter the most honest thing I’ve ever said: “I want you.”

“When you’re with me, I don’t feel heavy anymore. I feel light inside of my own skin, like…like my heart is so light it could float away.”
