Picked this one up because a friend recommended it to me... totally had to lie to her and say it was good... it was so badly written, not at all interesting, there was bad grammar and misspellings. Everything about this book was so foreseeable, it really was such a waste of time.

This feels so harsh but I use the same criteria for every book rating. I really wanted to like this book. Maybe my expectations were set too high. At my first try, I could not get myself to focus at all. I read 3 other books in between, so I knew the issue wasn't my inability to focus - this just didn't grasp my attention. I did not enjoy the writing style.

It was twisty and kept me reading. I really enjoyed following Wren and Jeremey's story, although horrific, was interesting to follow.
The reason it didn't get a five star from me is because some of the dialogue seemed a bit juvenal and things were being told to use instead of us being shown.
Overall, I really liked this book, and I am excited for book two.

This is a fast read that fans of Criminal Minds will likely enjoy. Dual perspective and dual time lines there is a lot going on and the story doesn’t slow down.

I don’t prefer dual perspective but it is used effectively here.
I found the ending unsatisfying but I wanted everything wrapped up with a neat bow.
