I've been meaning to read this for a while since I'm an avid listener of the Morbid Podcast. Finally opened it up this week and couldn't put it down. Alaina draws you into the worlds - and minds - of her characters and brings the bayou to life. The twists and turns of the plot kept me guessing and it was never quite what I expected.
So good. Especially for a debut book.

It was fine. Twisty and all that. I just don’t think this is the genre for me.
