As ridiculous as the book was (i.e. a pair of extraordinary natural historians, a nonsensical plot involving a traveling show, and the ultimate mystery revelations), I had a grand ol' time lol.
I really enjoyed the characters and their adventures. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.

I found the lead character (Veronica Speedwell) kind of annoying. And at times I found the writing a bit slow, but overall the plot was interesting and I’m looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
