The book grew claws and scratched me. The words have left scars, I still have questions, which is to say the ending didn't satisfy me.The descriptions of his c*ck will haunt me for days, there are too many trigger warnings I felt this book truly needed a disclaimer before certain chapters. I was intrigued, scared and disgusted, sometimes all at the same time. I truly get why some people say it's one of those stories you'll either love or absolutely despise ,in my opinion the inevitable end is that you'll be left traumatized.

This is probably one of the weirdest books I’ve ever read. I feel like I would have said “wtf” a lot less if I had a reading buddy. But a lot of this books made me go “wtf” in both a good and a very bad way.

I have mixed feelings on it honestly and I would only recommend this book so my friends can be confused and disturbed with me.

Kafka on the Shore, a surrealist ode to time and memory, enchants readers with its poetic allure and induces a dreamlike trance that lingers long past the final page. Murakami exquisitely uses the absurd to depict the world as it is, where nothing is as it seems. Reading the novel is like having a lucid dream that is transient, enigmatic, and ambiguous, yet also evocative, ineffable, and profound all at once.
