It’s been weeks and I’m stilling thinking of this book. There were moments when I had to put it down due to the incredulity of it. I tried to describe the plot to my partner, which was an interesting exercise to say the least. This will likely be a book I think about for the rest of my life. -.5 stars for the way Murakami writes women.

A surreal, thought-provoking novel that blurs the lines between reality and dream. Murakami’s storytelling is strange, poetic, and unforgettable. Not everything makes sense but that’s exactly what makes it so compelling.
