This PI/single mom on the run is book 4 in the Sugar Lake series, and although it was not my favorite in the series, it was still a good one. A lot of things bugged me about the story, the characters and their motivations. I'm sorry, but he can't sleep with her so he sleeps with her friend instead? What kind of twisted bullshit is that? Most of it was also very predictable, but it was still a fun ride.
