Love this book!!!

This book was one of my favorites in the series. I recommend reading it without the trigger warnings if you can so you can be surprised but it’s understandable if you can’t as this book discusses very serious topics that may be difficult for some. Lily’s story is one we’ve been waiting for since book 1 and it’s so nice to see her story finally told! I love her character growth and development throughout the novel and her love interest Mason is so perfect for her. His own secrets allow them to understand each other for all their faults and grow together.

We'll always have Sugarlake!!

This book officially took me on a ride. I knew that Lily's story would be raw, but man oh mani did not expect to be cut open and bled. Then we throw in Mason and his history and put the two together... Wow! Lily knew what it was to be used and treated like nothing and when Mason showed her that he could give her whatever she needed, but he would be there to reassure her that she was cared for afterwards was a light that Lily had never saw before. He was supposed to be doing a job, not falling in love, but they both needed redemption of sorts - healing and that's what they found in each other. Mason forgot everything he believed in and opened his heart to the caged little bird and her son and was willing to walk through hell fire to protect them. Dance with the devil he did.

I loved how everyone's story played out. Becca and Eli were my favorite couple, but I think that I'm convinced to replace them with Mason and Lily. Each couple made the series amazing in their own way, though there stories were woven together everyone stood out for their own significant reason. Lily coming home and expecting hate and resentment only to receive love and acceptance showed the value of their relationships.

I liked it. There was some stuff I didn’t like but overall I did enjoy it. A good wrap up to the series.

The Best One of the Series

She was right telling you not to look up the Trigger warnings, and I'm glad I did not, because I would not have read it. Which would have been a shame, because it was the best book of the series.
