Having read the other three books, I knew what kind of emotional ride I was going to be on reading this final book in the series. But I couldn't have predicted the ride this book took us on. I had been waiting for Lily's story ever since Beneath the Stars. I was actually a little mad at Emily every time she released a book that WASN"T Lily's story. This book was everything we needed it to be and now I am depressed that it is over.
Lily has a dark past that started when she was nine years old. She has lived a hard life and she ended up finding that drugs helped her escape and not to feel. We last saw Lily in Beneath the Stars when she ran away, assuming with her much older boyfriend. We get small glimpses into what her life was like when she was gone and how she overcame every thing to get where she is now. Her son Chase saved her from continuing down the path she was going. Her brother Chase hired Mason to find Lily. When Mason finally finds her, something draws him to her. They both share tortured pasts that they are running from. A perfect match for Lily, Mason was sweet yet rough and he cared deeply for Lily and her son. He tried to help her and find out what demons she is hiding. Their chemistry was off the charts. Mason was supposed to find her and bring her home, instead he fell in love with her. But when he feels threatened, he makes decisions and things come to light that might ruin everything.

Emily writes books that make you feel all the emotions. While reading this book you may cry, yell and be swept off your feet with how amazing the characters are. This book is raw and steamy but sweet and fun and it will consume you. I am sad to have finished the last book in this series, but it will forever remain an all time favorite series. I enjoyed how the end wrapped up the stories with the rest of the characters as well because I will miss them all.

This was a little heavy! It has some sexual abuse, drug addiction, self harm, and recovery. But overall this was a great series!!
