I hated this book. Was about 41% in and realized that the plot was all over the place and nowhere. Continued to read hoping it would get better. It hasn’t I’m 89% finished now and again want to dnf. But will stick it out.

It’s been said before, this is chick lit with a romance as a subplot.

Insanely relatable story about an outspoken woman in a male dominated field. Great fast read that had the perfect blend of relatable and escapism.
I would not call this a romance. I am not really sure what I was expecting because I am a cover reader. The cover looked very good so that’s why I picked it up. The cover to me screamed workplace romance, secret relationship, the works. I got none of that. Yes Ana and Shane were “in a relationship” but that was maybe 10 percent of the plot.
Addressing the women in the workplace issue was nice to see but I felt like I was reading a boring episode of the office. I wanted more. So much more.

This was a cute book that did a great job depicting struggles that women endure in various professions.
I laughed out loud, so many times at the crazy events that unfolded and appreciated the moment where we got to see the right people stand up for and accept Indiana when she was struggling herself. I was glad to see the romance element of this play a very minimal role and act as a true sublot...this allowed the read to focus on what this story was truly about.

This is a cute and funny office comedy, with a solid romance subplot. I really loved the characters. I will be reading anything Anastasia Ryan puts out.
