Not Bad for a Girl by Anastasia Ryan was the STEM-focused romcom I didn't know I needed in my life! This is my first time reading work by Ryan, and I was very entertained. A huge thank you to NetGalley, Anastasia Ryan, Jesse Vilinsky, and Dreamscape Media for providing me with this audio ARC!

Here are some thoughts I had while reading that describe my feelings about this title:
- Jesse Vilinsky is one of my favorite narrators ever, so this is a very obvious plus for me
- Indiana was such a realistic and relatable main character!
- Shane was perfect. New book boyfriend.
- The S.J. reveal was SO GOOD!!!!!!!
- I need Indiana's dad to adopt me ASAP, thanks! The Vegas scenes had me ROLLING.
- I just adored the Diana team. I felt so vindicated during the presentation scene at the end!!!!
- Heidi is so fun, can she be my new best friend?
- This was so funny, campy, and a little outlandish.

Overall, I am rating Not Bad for a Girl four out of five stars. You'd love this title if you enjoyed The Love Hypothesis, The Kiss Quotient, The Love Wager, and similar titles!

This cover and title definitely signals romance, so readers should know going in that the love story is only an incidental part of the story. Indiana "Ana" Aaron is a petite but outspoken woman in the tech industry who gets transferred to a new remote office after her boss takes issue with her forthrightness. She's never met her new boss or co-workers (her screen is always off in Zoom meetings), and so she's a bit surprised to find in an email that everyone assumes she's a man. Some well-meaning colleagues help perpetuate Indiana's male persona, and her reputation soon gets inflated beyond her job competencies, so that "Indiana" is a mythical and macho icon (flying planes, military background, backup hockey goalie). This makes it much harder for her to come clean (well, that, and the privilege and respect she gets when others think she is a man).  The only one in her new office who has caught on is Shane, who definitely likes her more for the woman she is than the man she pretends to be. While some of the over-the-top elements added some humor, I wished there was a little more subtlety and fewer coincidences overall.

omg! anatasia ryan has done it again.

there's not much I can talk about other than the fact I love the writing style of anastasia so much I could read anything written by her!! when I read her debut novel you should smile more I wasn't able to put the book down.. well it happened again.

once again we are met with a strong main female character that lives in a man's world.
once again we met in an office/workplace.
once again we are met with a beautiful cast of strong women.

this book, just like the other one, is perfect in the sense that
- you can't put it away
- you love the MC
- you love the side romance happening

anastasia ryan, you're my queen, please continue writing, I'll read anything by you, seriously.

★ Thanks to SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for the e-arc. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
