Actual rating: an-over-5-like-a-thousand-time/5 stars
As I wrote in my actual rating, if I could give this one more than five stars, I'd happily done it. This book literally brought me back to the reason why I fell in love with detective genre in the begining. Just simply based on observation which led to those another critical and logic thinkings. And that turned out at the end was a true magnifique. Though I'm more a modern reader which favor those medium length fast pace story than a slow burnt full on details, I'd be content to read all those works without putting it down for a stop. Every time those truths with really well-scripted detail were brought to life, I felt like experiencing the point of view of Watson: truely amazed and speechless and and praise for that wistful mind of Sherlock Holmes. I had such an interesting journey while reading this book and also being proud at myself in the very moment when I closed this book and found out that one of my teenage girl reading goals which accidentally being the longest ever staying on my TBR was fulfilled.
P/S: though saying that I couldn't put this book down for a stop, I did put it down a lot while reading this. Please don't read me wrong, I enjoyed this book as much as possible but I might choose the worst time ever to pick this one up - drowning in so many deadlines whose the right numbers were countless for me. So I picked it up, finished some, then put it aside for a while then brought it up again. And that circle continued as ever until that 24th April and it was brought to an end.

Decided to dnf (pause) this for now. Listening to the whole volume lasting 62+ hrs is a bit overwhelming for now.
Will definitely pick this up again book by book.

Review - I really enjoyed the early stories, but I think that some of the later ones seemed to lose the plot a bit. I think my favourite was A Study in Scarlet, because I liked how Sherlock and Dr Watson were getting to know each other, and Sherlock could do things that would shock and wow Watson, and I think that was handled really well. I definitely think that the actual stories were better than the short stories, because there was more time to explore the characters and the mysteries.
