Ever since I fell in love on first sight with BBCs Sherlock mini serial, I've been wanting to read the original stories behind that ingenious show.
The Complete Sherlock Holmes is a book I wish everyone would read once in their lifetime, but the sad truth is that they won't. It's heavy, literally, there are many pages to read - but all the better, right? Because there really is nothing in this that I felt was a waste of time. Even the shortest adventure proved to be amusing, suspenseful or insightful and you fall in love as deeply and madly with Holmes and Watson, as you do in the tv show.
My favorite story is The Adventure of the Red-Headed League, if anyone wonders, while my favorite novel must be A Study in Scarlet.

I cannot recommend this audible enough! The Love Fry has for the books and his passion comes across so well and I could tell he's enjoying reading it immensely and I enjoyed listening. As a massive Sherlock fan I revisit these books often and this audible format was a delight and added yet another magnificent layer to the brilliant writing that is Sherlock Holmes.

I've read this book 5 or 6 times now. It's like home-made chicken soup--always tastes good and makes you feel better too.
This was my comfort book while Catherine was in the hospital.
The reason for the 1-star review? The illustrations. They're visually flat and amateurish. They pale in comparison to the original Paget illustrations. To really kill the deal for me, in The Reigate Puzzle.
So, if you want to read the complete Sherlock Holmes, I'd suggest you look at a different edition.
